Kerry,
Thank you for the last 5 seasons you have given us fans. I know that you still have more great years to come, and I feel that the Giants organization just tried to fix something that WAS NOT broken. I don't agree with this decision at all and I know that I'm not alone.
Good luck wherever you will end up. Myself and every other Giants fan I know will be routing for you. I only ask that you please think twice about going to Dallas if that decision is at hand. : )
Take care and God bless....

Mike, Longisland

Kerry,

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck and hope you end up in a place that will respect, treat you better than the Giants did. You deserve more.

I will pull for you what ever jersey you wear unless it's another NFC East team.

You're a class act and best wishes to you and your family. All of the Giants fans will miss you dearly.

Subject: San Diego
Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2004 14:07:50 -0400

If things were to go as they have, San Diego would have been much better served had they traded the Number 1 pick directly to the Giants with Kerry packaged in. This way they could have had a viable QB and Roy Williams to work with. This could have made them a contender right away. Kerry could have flourished in the pass friendly Southern Cal. climate, and they would have had a game breaking receiver to boot.

The way this was done, Football, The Chargers and the Giants are all losers. Neither will have a viable starter for years. The Giants have traded away their future (Draft Choices), such that even if Manning is to become what they feel he will, his growing contract and the loss of top picks will come to haunt them, when the talent pool (Their best in Years) continues to age and retire.

San Diego, on the others hand had a chance to have a starter that could have groomed their next prospect (Brees) a dominent running back, an adequate defense, and a playmaker in Williams.

What happened to the great minds in football. This near-sighted-ness is not only a slight to Kerry, but a shoot ourselves in the foot mentality that may doom more than one franciase.

Kerry's ultimate revenge would be to sign with the Cowboys, who have the defense, and just need a leader that won't throw away games.

Good Luck Kerry! Thanks for the years that you gave me hope for the playoffs

Kindest Regards

I've been a Giants fan for 40 years and you are one of my favorite players over the years. You are damn good QB. There has got to be a way for you to come back. The fans don't want to lose you and I believe I speak for 80% of those fans. Accorsi has said to the media that he offered to restructure your contract so that you would not experience a pay cut this year. If so why not stay with us for the next year. Your market value may be greater the following year if more teams are looking for a QB. Problem now is a lot of teams have already decided who they want at QB and you may only hurt yourself by leaving. The odds are that Manning will not be ready in year one. If you start and win the first 3 or 4 games no one is going to replace you. You could have a great year with the giants which would increase your market value.I really wish you the best and wherever you go I will be pulling for Kerry Collins. All of New York and New Jersey feels that way. The giant message board is highly depressed and saddened with your leaving. Please reconsider and stay. All the best to you.

I sure wish you could have found a way to restructure and support the Giants in the next campaign, but I certainly understand the realities of the game today. I always thought you were a great QB for the Giants. And if the pass protection ever got back to where it was in the NFC Championship year - WOW! Sure would have liked you to have the opportunity to hoist that Super Bowl trophy in a Giant uniform.

Much luck and best wishes.

Kerry,

I know just like most of us fans know that you are one hell of QB. I also know that all we needed was a decent offensive line in order for you to flourish. I totally disagree with the front offices decision to even pick manning let alone start him. I think EA is an idiot and drafting Manning seems more personal for him since he lost out on Elway way back when. Its a slap in the face to you and the rest of the veterans because this team is built to win now not in 2 or 3 years from now. I will always be thankful of the way you brought us back to respectability in the league. It was pretty bad around here until you got here. You're the best QB we've had since Simms. We will defiantly miss your leadership and the way you've always carried yourself on and off the field. I just want to wish you the best, I hope you end up winning the superbowl after this so EA can she what huge mistake he just made. Just please don't go to the Cowboys! Good Luck Kerry Collins!

I'm sorry to see the Giants drop you like that, I guess that's the name of the game in the NFL, as a former QB from North Jersey ( Ramapo HS ), I always admired your intensity for the game, and the effort you put forth for my beloved Giants. I too know how you feel as I was benched my senior yr for a younger starter. Thank god he too was dropped and replaced w/ Chris Simms. So that made me feel alot better. Anyway, I'm babbling..... thanks for all the great yrs in Giants Blue.

I wish you and your family the best. Good luck on your future endeavors.

Best Regards,
Tim Sheeran

Kerry,
I'm sorry the Giants had to release you. You will be missed by all Giants fans nationwide. I used to watch Penn State games while you were there, and I have been a fan since. Best of luck for the rest of your career.

Yours truly,

P.S. Please don't go to Dallas

Kerry,

I wanted to send a note and thank you for all the hard work and leadership you brought to the Giants. Your poise in the face of adversity, in both your personal and professional life, is inspiring.

I wish you health and much success in what I'm confident will be a very long NFL career, hopefully in the AFC.

Thank you again,
Farrell Walsh
